Shine by S.H.O, formerly SHINE, has produced colorful, memorable lighting for years. The new website is a better projection of the company’s aesthetic and new direction.

The designer, Susan Hornbeak-Ortiz is a talented interior designer with a great sense of fashion and edge. “I have always been drawn to capturing the essence of beauty in all its forms,” says Ms. Hornbeak-Ortiz.  I do believe she certainly has!

In Spanish, ¡Pipa! is slang for “having a good time!” A New York Spanish-style tapas restaurant of the same name is known for its enchanted atmosphere of tasty food and exquisite décor.  ABC Home designed Pipa to reflect a true Spanish experience with long, communal style table seating, decorative tapestries and numerous elegant chandeliers that take over the restaurant. I would love to enjoy a pitcher of sangria at this NY hotspot and adorn each fixture with kaarskoker candle sleeves!

Schoolhouse Electric Co. has long been a favorite of mine for period lighting. Recently, I was re-acquainted with the brand.  It looks as though it has implemented some similar creative efforts along the same vein as kaarskoker.  Just as kaarskoker offered colorful, artistic alternative to white candle covers, Schoolhouse has a new ‘Artist Series’ for its glass shades.  Below are examples of these incredible shades.
